Amy Healy
Director, Public Policy

Amy Healy leads YPA’s public policy efforts including the management of national, state, and local legislative and regulatory advocacy efforts. She coordinates all filings before regulatory agencies including the Federal Communications Commission, Federal Trade Commission, state bar associations, and state legislative organizations as well as the association's lobbying efforts before Congress. She is responsible for advocating on behalf of YPA members on issues such as advertising taxes and regulations, B2B commerce limitations such as do-not-fax, do-not-call, do-not-e-mail and do-not-deliver, the environment, privacy and call records legislation. Currently, she is working on a lobbying effort in Washington, D.C. to ensure that directory publishers have fair access to VoIP listings. Amy joined the YPA in 2001.
Previously, Amy worked on Capitol Hill for eight years. As legislative director for Congresswoman Pat Danner, she was responsible for the congresswoman's work on the House International Relations Committee including international trade and defense issues.
Amy holds an M.S. in International Relations from the London School of Economics (LSE) and a B.A. in Political Science from Marquette University where she was awarded the Lyndon Baines Johnson Scholarship for Congressional Interns.
